Purpose
The SSPGFA is committed to supporting each individual girl in her aspirations for softball, whether it is to
strengthen skills already learned or to venture into new positions with new skills to learn.  This Association
wants to make an environment where all players can have a positive learning experience, learn good
sportsmanship, promote physical and mental development, and encourage good character and citizenship.

Age Level Participation:
Participant will play in one of 3 age brackets (12U, 14U, & 16U) depending on her age on January 1.  All
players will play at their age-appropriate levels.  Any exceptions will be made at the Board’s discretion.  

Registration Fees:
Registration fees for 2008 Summer League will be $125.00 for each player.  Also, there is a volunteer fee
of $75.00 on a separate check (see our
volunteer policy).  Registrations will be accepted through 2/28/08.  
Players must be fully registered by March 31st or they may risk not being placed on a roster.

Summer League Play
Travel ball consists of doubleheaders twice per week. Teams are scheduled to play timed, double-headers
on each league night at 6pm.   Practices are set by the coaches and are generally once or twice weekly.  
Travel ball generally consists of  2-3 weekend tournaments throughout the season, and then a playoff
weekend and possibly state tournament weekend at the end of the season.  

League nights are:

        12U plays Monday and Wednesday nights.
        14U plays Tuesday and Thursday nights.
        16U plays Monday and Wednesday nights.

Home games are usually played at Harmon Field or McMorrow Fields.
